2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in Sacramento

Over 2,000 people will meet Sunday night, January 14, 2018, to be challenged to work toward racial reconciliation and harmony in the Sacramento area and to celebrate the progress we have already made. This event, sponsored by over thirty churches in the greater Sacramento area, will take place 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Capital Christian Center, 9470 Micron Ave, Sacramento, CA 95827.

If you live in Northern California, I’d like to invite you to join us this Sunday. I have been on the Coordinating Committee for this event the past fifteen years, and every year I am overwhelmed by God’s powerful presence as people from multiple racial and ethnic backgrounds gather to worship together.

Please listen to the following recording of a recent interview about this annual event on Sacramento’s KFIA radio as Pastor Henry Wells interviews Pastor Samuel Gordon and me about the January 14 gathering and a march to be held the following day, January 15.
